Beautiful Big Sur and Monterey

I have to admit, I plan vacations based on the beauty of the surroundings. I usually Instagram locations and decide if that is something I would love to see. I am lucky that Tom will go with the flow and is open to my (sometimes crazy) ideas. My latest idea for a trip was to see Big Sur in Northern California. We had everything planned out and then the rain came and ruined part of that plan. A few weeks before our departure, Northern California had some flooding that caused some damage to roadways. When we got to Monterey I knew that we wouldn't get to see all of Big Sur (the road was closed due to damage from flooding). From what we experienced, I know we will have to come back to see all of Big Sur some day. Most of our trip was spent around Pacific Grove and Monterey. At the very end we decided to make a quick trip to San Francisco because we always loved it there! Here are some of my favorite images of this beautiful area. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
