The leaves are turning yellow and red, the rain is in the forecast, but last weekend we were playing in the Moran family backyard and not getting rained on! This family moved into their new home recently and wanted to capture some ways they are using their new outdoor space. We did lots of running, raking leaves, and leaf tossing. Here are some of my favorite images of Eduardo, Season, Jaylen, and Mateo.

It was a foggy and cloudy fall Sunday morning. Karen and Eric wanted to meet at a park that would really show that they made the big move from Seattle to Gig Harbor. It was a perfectly moody morning on the Gig Harbor waterfront. I am so thankful to be able to capture this family year after year, even if I have to drive a bit longer to do so. Here are some of my favorite images of Karen, Eric, Elena and Flynn.
When Allyson reached out to me for a last minute maternity/family session, I was happy to grab my camera and go! It was the perfect fall evening. Sunny, fairly warm, and a cute family! Karson, Shane, Allyson and Tessa are expecting a new addition in November...a baby girl. Here are some of my favorite images from the session.
I had the pleasure of photographing Callie last weekend. She is a special girl. Not only does she have loving parents, but a very helpful older brother, Lucas. This little girl was a champ and slept through a lot of her session. Congratulations to the Wham family on this sweet, new addition!
Nicole and I were playing hide and seek with the rain last weekend. We took a couple breaks to get away from the heavy sprinkles. The Mukilteo beach was the perfect spot for Nicole's senior portraits. There are so many different spots to pose in front of. I had so many favorites from this session it was hard to pick just a few to post here. Hope your senior year is the best, Nicole (and the rest of 2020 class).
Last weekend I met Emily and Lindsey's family in their yard for a fun back/front yard session. It was great to see this family again and try to get two adults, two kids, and two dogs to pose for the camera at the same time! I loved capturing this family including Emily's amazing green thumb. Here are some of my favorite images of Emily, Lindsey, Crosby and Lily.
Last weekend I met Diana, Charley, Charlotte and Frankie at Golden Gardens. After a couple weeks of great, sunny weather, we stumbled upon a cloudy morning. We had some fun with beach combing and bubbles. We made the most of a fairly chilly morning with lots of family snuggles. Here are some of my favorite images from this beach session.
Sunday morning at Carkeek park definitely looked like summer. It was sunny, warm and lots of families looking for little creatures in tide pools. Jennifer, Chris, Brielle and Cyland enjoyed some beach time on a June morning while I snapped away. We looked in tide pools, climbed rocks and collected lots of treasures. Here are a few of my favorite images from this session.
At 2 months old, baby Duru, was very alert and happy. She has a very loving family, including her big brother, Demir, who was able to sit still for a few photographs with his little sister. Here are some of my favorite images from this newborn session.
At one month old, Lucia was one of the most cooperative newborns I have ever had the pleasure to photograph! She was just so sweet and easy going. The whole family is so in love with this little girl, including Matias, her big brother. Congratulations to this beautiful family. Here are some of my favorite images from this session.
Baby Gigi (Georgia) was such a good sleeper! She only fussed when she was hungry, but big brother, Hudson, was there to lend a hand and give her a bottle. This family is always so fun to photograph. Congratulations on your newest and perfect new addition, Jason and Jenny!
Baby Carter and his family was a pleasure to photograph! He has loving parents and a very attentive older fur sister, Penny. Penny was next to Carter most of the session, so it's only natural that my favorite image from this session includes her. Here are some of my favorite images from this session. Congratulations on your new addition, Krista and Michael!
It was a big day for Anne and Chris last week! They tied the knot in a small ceremony in front of their families. These two braved unusually cold temperatures and some normal PNW sprinkles to document this special day. We managed to finish this session without pouring rain but with some cold fingers. Congratulations Anne and Chris. The best is yet to come!
Baby Tia is such a happy little girl! At six weeks old, she was so alert and ready for her photo session! We did get her to fall asleep for a few pictures so big brother Kai could hold her. Congratulations Natsumi, Fraser and Kai! She is the perfect addition to your family! Here are some of my favorite images from the session.
Photographing babies is special and challenging at the same time, especially when they are twins.
Jack and Ava came into this world with a bang and very unexpected. After a few weeks in the hospital and at home, I was finally able to get these two in front of my camera. They were very alert and active. They did sleep but not at the same time. I can't wait to see these two grow up, I am a lucky Aunt. Congratulations Marcin and Christina for this amazing addition to your family...coming up next, a puppy??? For New Year's week we headed on a road trip. I was very against road trips a few years ago, but I have come around. I can over pack (because you never know what you will need), we can see plenty of sights along the way (which usually includes lots of pictures), and have lots of family time. Our first stop was a belated Christmas with the family in Seaside. The weather was amazing (except for the torrential downpour the day we got there), our rental was comfortable and close to town. There was a great tree swing on the beach and we had so much fun playing on it. Family time was so fun and Taylor had a blast reconnecting with her little cousins. We then headed south on 101 and stopped for a night in Bandon, OR just in time for the sunset. The coastline there was unreal and the sunset was perfect. It was a short time there so we will definitely have to go back to explore more. From there we had a short drive to Klamath, CA and planned our Redwoods Forest excursion. We saw lots of big trees, so Tom was in his element. I really enjoyed the Fern Canyon hike. You definitely need rain boots for this hike because most of it is in a shallow river. The ferns on both sides of the canyon were magical. There was a beach just outside of the canyon so we stopped there to enjoy our last look at the ocean before we headed to Eugene, OR. Eugene was a fun stopover for some shopping and running on Prefontaine's trail. There it is, a quick road trip with many miles and lots of memories. Seaside, ORBandon, orRedwoods and Klamath, CALeslie's senior session was chilly! She didn't let that bother her, though. Her combined love of pageants and sailing shows in this gallery. Enjoy this fun and colorful session. Congratulations class of 2019!
Winter weather finally showed up! Yes, it's sunny, but mornings are a bit chilly. Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing my favorite blue-eyed toddler in the morning chill! He made me work hard for his smiles, but ultimately we got him to have fun and show it. Here are my favorite images of Jenny, Jason and Hudson.
The beauty of taking photographs of small kids is that the session is very unpredictable. You never know if the kiddos will have meltdowns or listen to anything you have to say. Little Ethan was a hard guy to get to smile, but I did get some good laughs out of him. We even got Anders, 2 months old, to crack a smile. Enjoy some of my favorite images from Liv, Jason, Ethan, and Ander's session.
When Tiffaney asked me where my favorite place to take family photos at was, it was hands down Magnuson Park. There is a little bit of everything there, especially for wiggly kiddos. We got to run in the tall grasses, throw rocks and leaves. We were finished just as the clouds rolled in. Here are some of my favorite images of Tiffaney, Paul, Haley and Andrew.
Fall is definitely here! Last weekend we had to do some schedule juggling in order to get some rain-free weather. It proved to be the right choice and we lucked out on some early morning sun. Here are some of my favorite images of Wendi, Erik, Cole and Greyson.
Last weekend I met Jill, Jason and Maren at Lower Woodland Park. It was a fun and furious session of running, leaf throwing, and tree climbing. Here are some of my favorite images from this family's session. Happy Fall!
Last weekend was another amazingly sunny PNW weekend! Natsumi, Fraser and Kai were a fun family to see again. Kai was just a year old when I saw him last year and he is going to be an older brother! These three are about to be a family of four and I am honored to be able to capture this phase in their growing family. Here are some of my favorite images from their session.
I cannot believe how nice our weather has been the last couple weeks! 70°F in October in Seattle is like winning the lottery. I am glad that some of my clients decided to take advantage of it for their family photo sessions. Last Sunday we went to Golden Gardens. I do love a great beach session, no matter what time of the year it is. Here are some of my favorite images of Karen, Eric, Flynn and Elena.
Last Sunday I woke up to the sound of torrential rain...I really thought we would have to reschedule the family session that morning. But a couple hours later, the rain stopped and the clouds cleared. Turns out we had to find some shade for our pictures since the sun was so bright! The kids spotted seagulls, geese, a train, threw rocks, played on a seesaw...all while I clicked away! It was such a fun session! Here are some of my favorite images of Shannon, Patrick, Reece and Johnna.
