The trials and tribulations of family pictures

I usually have an image in my head of what our Christmas card will look like. It always includes a picture and usually chaos. This year was no different. 
I enlisted the help of my brother Marcin for this task. I needed someone to snap a picture overhead which was impossible to do with my tripod and remote. We had everything all set up and all the whining and complaining ensued. Tom (my husband) complained about the sky being too bright. Taylor refused to wear her hat and started running away. After some bribes (you do what you gotta do) and a second try when it wasn't so bright we got a couple decent images. 

Here is some chaos...but I still love this one.
