This time of year I become very good friends with the weather app. Sometimes it pays off, as it did when we did this family session at Magnuson Park. We finished the session right as the rain started, but from these images you'd never guess that. I had so much fun with Jenny, Jason, Hudson and Gigi. We took a very nice tour of the park trying to stay in some shade. Here are some of my favorite images from this session. 

Golden Gardens Beach was busy with kite boarders last weekend. This meant we were fighting some strong winds during this photo session. Diana, Charley, Charlotte and Frankie were very fun to work with and willing to adapt to the strong winds. We had lots of fun watching the sail boats and blowing bubbles, while Frankie chased them. Senior photos are always a great change of pace for me. Ethan gave me a great tour of Sumner as we took his photos at Sumner High School,  the Puyallup River and downtown Sumner. Congratulations Ethan and Class of 2022! Here are some of my favorite images from Ethan's session.

Jim and Alix tied the knot in a cozy ceremony in Seattle. I met with them before the ceremony to document the wonderful day. They were so easy to work with. I could tell this was the happiest day of their life and I was glad to be able to photograph it. Here are some of my favorite images from their big day!

I got the pleasure to hang out with the Hroncich family at the Ballard Locks. I always look forward to photographing Erik, Wendi, Cole and Greyson. We had so much fun exploring parts of this park. Here are some of my favorite images from their session. 

Summer is my favorite season for family sessions. Everyone is warm, the sun is shining and the rain is minimal. But right before this session I heard thunder, so I got a little worried. Thankfully, it didn't rain and we got some really great photos. The kiddos (Leah and Will) were so fun to chase with my camera and so energetic. I had so much fun with the Jeffries family. At three months old, baby Ray was a joy to photograph! He was so aware and curious of the camera lens. Big brother, Kai, and big sister, Tia, love this little guy! One of the best parts of photographing older babies is being able to capture their expressions. The smiles are the best. Here are some of my favorite images of Natsumi and Fraser's amazing family. 

Tyson was such a champ on his first birthday photo session! We scheduled the session for a mid-day in the Arboretum. The rhododendrons were blooming and the sun was shining. When Heather reached out to me with the concept of getting Grandma and Grandpa to dress up as Santa and Mrs. Claus (because Covid), I thought it sounded so fun! Who knew Evelyn would be scared of Santa even though she knew it was Grandpa? There were costume changes, lollipops and a walk to a swing. It was such a fun session! A sunny (and relatively warm) day in November in PNW is rare. Surprisingly we were able to time this family session perfectly on such a day! Jack and Ava are full of two year old energy and gave me a run for my camera. We did lots of running (away), looking for fish, and throwing pine cones. When I drove over to Marymoor Park I wasn't ready for the frosty lawn. It was a chilly November morning but we made the best of it. Jenny, Jason, Hudson and Gigi were so fun to photograph and we found out that Gigi is quite the ham! Here are some of my favorite images from this cold session. 

I've driven passed this spot many times, but forgot about it. Jessie wanted fall colors and I knew this would be it when I drove by it last week. The red trees were a perfect background to this fun family session. Here are some of my favorite images of John, Jessie, Caitlyn and Kellen. 

It's no secret that a lot of my fall sessions have a lot of fall colors. I was so excited when Andi reached out to me to have a more urban/nautical feel during her family session. It was so fun to use the buildings and boats their session. Here are some of my favorite images of Scot, Andi, Bracey, Camden, Kaden and Banderas.

Senior sessions are so fun for me. Having a subject that actually stays still is definitely a change of pace from my normal sessions with little ones. I had a great time meeting and photographing Mercedes. She was very easy going and was willing to try anything during her session. I loved the variety we got during this session. Water, grasses, sunset...I loved it all. Congratulations Mercedes!

Sunsets at the beach are my favorite, especially when I'm able to photograph a family. Chris, Jennifer, Brielle and Cyland were so fun to hang out with and at the same time I captured some great family moments. Here are some of my favorites from this beach session in Edmonds. 

I love summer sessions! The warm weather, pretty light, summery outfits, and crazy mosquitos? Yes, we fought lots of pesky mosquitos during this session with Erik and Wendi, but it was totally worth it for the pretty evening light. It's so fun seeing how big Cole and Greyson get each year I see this family. Enjoy some of my favorite images! 

When Janice reached out to me to schedule a 40th birthday session, I was a bit nervous about the weather in February.  It's been cold, rainy, and I knew she wasn't planning on wearing a lot of clothing. We found a day of no rain in the forecast (it did sprinkle for a few minutes), but it was cold. Janice was a champ and we were able to celebrate this special time in her life. 40 looks beautiful on you, Janice! Here are some of my favorite images from this session. 

Fall in the PNW can be filled with very unpredictable weather. While waiting for the Tieck family, I walked around Magnuson Park and was very happy that the rain subsided. But then a rain cloud came in. We waited it out and I was able to get some great images of this family playing. The beauty of getting your family pictures taken this late in the year is that the kiddos got to play with ice! That's definitely a new one for me. The normal fall PNW weather finally showed up last weekend. We were able to fit Jenny and Jason's session in between the morning rain and afternoon Sounders match! I loved having this family in front of my camera, especially Hudson and Gigi. Gigi is such a happy baby and big brother, Hudson, is so in love with her! We've had such a great fall! Lots of sunny days and very little rain. This Magnuson Park session started a bit later than we planned, but the golden light was amazing! The Castillo family always amazes me how comfortable and natural they are in front of a camera. Here are some of my favorite images of Ricardo, Maribel, Matias and Lucia.

I always say: "Beach is always a great idea!" When Emily suggested Golden Gardens for her family's photo session, I did not disagree. The beach is great all year long, as long as everyone is dressed properly. We were lucky to have a calm afternoon with no wind. Sebastian has grown so much in the last year. He has also, become a lot more mobile.  He did a lot of walking and running. Here are some of my favorite images from this fall beach session of Roberto, Emily and Sebastian. 

It was a chilly, fall morning at Bothell Landing last Sunday. Together with Hailey, Matt, Carley and Cameron we explored the bridge and the beautiful nature around us. The colors are definitely showing the golden glory and the kids loved searching for fun colored leaves. Here are some of my favorites from this session.

Hanging out with Jack and Ava is always a treat! They are one and so fun to observe. Ava, always the cautious one, who will make you work for a smile. Jack, the smiley, happy go lucky one.
